Our client is an iconic brand name within Australian manufacturing and is presently undergoing extensive organic growth within the automotive sector. In order to meet the additional production requirements and to improve quality performance they are recruiting a customer focused Quality Engineer.

This role will be based in Altona Melbourne and will be required to travel to Adelaide in order to manage quality improvement activities. Reporting to the Adelaide based Quality Manager the key aspects of this role will be quality customer support to OEM companies and promoting continuous improvement activities within the business. Daily and monthly reporting on all supplier and internal quality issues and associated costs are also required.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of quality process & principles such as PPAP, APQP, SPC, Poke Yoke and root cause analysis. They will be required to lead cross functional teams and be capable of fostering relationships in order to achieve closure of corrective actions and continuous improvement activities in a timely manner. They will also be responsible for evaluation and development of tier two suppliers. Applicants will have, as a minimum, an Engineering Diploma with a Quality component. Injection Moulding and tooling experience would be highly advantageous.
