JOBLocal overview
JOBLocal is designed to provide you with a new way to pinpoint where you want to work. It allows you to find jobs by suburb or postcode and by set distance increments from that point.
How JOBLocal works
JOBLocal works by typing in a postcode or suburb name. This will return all the results for that postcode or suburb in a three-dimensional environment.
JOBLocal has at its heart, 57 million unique entries to determine the distance between two postcodes. This allows us to give you a very accurate ability to see how far a job is from your preferred postcode (for example from your home, or from a public transport stop).
JOBLocal also allows you to hone in by predefined distance tabs. We have:
- 0kms which is exactly that location
- 0-5km’s from chosen postcode
- 5-10km’s from chosen postcode
- 10-15km’s from chosen postcode
- 15km’s+ from chosen postcode
As part of our local search, we also have integrated Google mapping, and the ability to see what transport is available. Advertisers will also feed in local details… so you will have the best of both Google and local knowledge at your fingertips.
You can widen or narrow your search by set distance tabs if you so choose.
Finding local jobs
Local jobs are found by typing in the postcode or suburb in the search criteria. Initial search results with only postcode or suburb entered in the search criteria will produce a set of results that you can ‘slice and dice’ according to the type of job you are after.
